The field for the Wyndham Championship is pretty evenly matched, as Matt Fitzpatrick has a 4.76% chance to win, Keegan Bradley and Ben Griffin have a 3.85% chance and the next seven guys, Aaron Rai, Hideki Matsuyama, Robert Macintyre, Jordan Spieth, Si Woo Kim, Akshay Bhatia, and Lucas Glover, are all around 3%.
As I research how profession DFS players approach a slate, it has become apparent they spread multiple lineups with a fairly evenly distribution usage of players. They also focus on the players that are lower priced but still have a reasonable probability of success. They avoid the very low priced, low probability players.
You can model this same approach. Instead of playing a single lineup in a high priced single entry contest, you should play multiple entries in a lower priced, high payout tournament. Your lineups should be unique from each other, try to avoid playing the same three players in any lineups. Always include players in the 38%-45% probability to finish top 40. These are the players that will fuel your performance to win a tournament.
Remember that the professional DFS players only cash on 22% of their lineups, and casual DFS players cash on less than 15% of their lineups. DFS Dashboard has developed an optimization approach that cashes 30% of its lineups.
